About me

Lena Klimova is a young stylist, currently based in Stockholm.

Her journey in fashion started in Moscow in 2013 at ELLE Russia where she worked as an Assistant to Chief Stylist and Senior Fashion Editor Renata Khakova, who is considered to be one of the most influential Russian stylist. Having hold this position for almost two years, Lena got promoted to Fashion Coordinator. Thought ELLE Russia, Lena got equated with a lot of talented Russian designers, photographers and artists. As stylist, she collaborated with two young photographers Tania Baykova and Yulia Metline on their graduation project, fashion story “In Between”. Later Lena continued collaboration with Tania Baykova on other several occasions. Lena styled and Tania shot lookbooks of young Moscow-based fashion designers Marina Shevkunova (HYDRA Brand) and Tonya Vorobyova (TOTO Design), as well as fashion stories for indie magazines (MOD, SOLIS). Lena also styled presentation of HYDRA Brand SS16 Men's collection, which took place at a small gallery of modern art (Omelchenko Gallery).

She is obsessed with 90's fashion and art scene, Helmut Newton and Guy Bourdin aesthetics, indie magazines, especially Dazed, Dust, 032c. Her main sources of inspiration for styling are Katie Grand, Joe Mckenna, Tom Van Dorpe and Lotta Volkova. Otherwise she enjoys minimalistic and clean brands such as Hérmes, Lemaire and Céline and enjoys scandinavian fashion and interior designs. In her own work, Lena combines 90’s vibes with incompleteness and raw mood of Russian suburbs, androgynous kind of faces and a transparent and natural colours. She is inspired by open-minded photographers, artists, models and designers, whith whom she is always ready to collaborate.
